Schools underwater hockey has been running in New Zealand for over 35 years and is the reason New Zealand is so dominant on the world stage. With the help of their amazing coaches school players learn how to play, get super fit, and make friends for life.
Some areas run local tournaments for school teams to battle it out on a weekly basis. Where this isn't possible the local clubs take it upon themselves to give the school teams some good competition so they can take on other schools at the Northern/Central/Southern Secondary Schools Championships and, where successful, on to the National Secondary Schools Championships!
If you have seen or heard about underwater hockey at your school, why not give it a go?
If your school currently doesn't offer underwater hockey never fear, our clubs take all ages. Or find out more information about how to start an underwater hockey team at your school!
